Meet Our Team

As Principal Planner, Abdullahi hopes to collaborate with individuals, communities, and partners to build stronger communities across the state of Minnesota. He works with rental applicants and other city staff, non-profit organizations, Minneapolis Housing Authority, private housing developers, and other housing advocates and service providers to assist residents in need of housing assistance.

He currently works for the Dakota county Government and the CARES Eviction Prevention Program through COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program, a program that helps residents of Dakota County experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19 who are at risk of housing instability or homelessness. He also participates in outreach events on behalf of the Dakota County Government to publicize the state’s RentHelpMN and Zero Balance Project. 

Before joining iZone, Abdullahi worked in Washington DC and in Minnesota, where he was a transportation planner for the Minnesota Department of Transportation -MnDOT Statewide Headquarters in St Paul, Minnesota. His experience includes affordable housing, zoning laws, business law, smart growth, community planning, transportation planning, geospatial analysis solutions, and bike-sharing programs.

Education: Georgetown University, Washington, DC. and Minnesota State University, Mankato.

 

Mohamed  Awliyo– is the Co-Founder/Director of Development of ServTunity, an online web hosting, and digital design service. He has more than 15 years of experience in web development, design, and software development. Awliyo is an entrepreneur and a tech enthusiast. Awliyo built his first website at the age of 14 during the start of the dot.com era.

Education: Ohio University.  

Shadiyo Hussain– worked in the healthcare field for almost a decade where providing an excellent quality of care was of utmost importance. She has utilized this experience to provide excellent customer service, and commitment to working hard. She recognizes and values the trust her clients place in her and strive everyday to exceed their expectations through effective listening and open communication. She enjoys every type of real estate transaction whether its first time home buyers, move-up buyers and sellers, investments, and new construction. She hopes to bridge the gap of homeownership in minority communities through education about different resources available to consumers. Shadiyo’s motto is always to build lasting relationships in every transaction.

Julianna Rotich– highly organized and self-motivated Urban Planner with 6 years of progressive experience in community development primarily in county and city government complemented with expertise knowledge in  modern practices & principles of city/urban planning. She has strong familiarity with Geographic Information System (GIS) applications and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regulations.  

Education: New York University   

Hamdiya Abdullahi – Policy Associate reporting to Council Member Jamal Osman represents Ward 6, located in central Minneapolis. She supports the creation and implementation of policies and initiatives, including the pandemic and the upcoming budget, housing insecurity, opioid addiction, mental illness, health, business environment, and economic security and infrastructure. She is responsible for representing the Minneapoli’s policy agenda at various internal and external meetings and works under frequent deadlines across a diverse portfolio.

Education: Saint Mary University of Minnesota

 

Mohamed Mohamed is the co-founder/Managing Director of ServTunity, an online web hosting, and digital design service. He has more than 10 years of experience in the private sector. Dini is an entrepreneur with a background in organizational leadership, development, manufacturing and communication.

Education: Minnesota State University, Mankato

Seleban Salahthe founder of Dalmer Construction Company Incorporated, has over ten years of experience in the construction industry. He has been part of every task imaginable in the building process in lake street, Minneapolis. He started as a small construction company, and then with more involvement and dedication, honed his skills as a carpenter and crew leader. He has extensive experience with commercial and residential remodel.
